Neymar Under Investigation for Alleged Verbal Abuse of Teammates at Santos

Neymar, the star player for Santos, is reportedly facing an internal investigation following allegations of verbal abuse towards younger teammates. According to the Brazilian publication Ge Globo, Neymar allegedly directed harsh insults at younger players Gabriel Bontempo and Joao Ananias during a locker room exchange. This incident reportedly caused discontent among both players and club management, necessitating intervention from the technical staff. The report claims Neymar called Gabriel Bontempo an "imbecile" in front of other teammates and questioned the technical abilities of Joao Ananias, who scored an own goal in the team's recent 2-2 draw against Chapecoense.

Sources close to the team suggest that Neymar's outburst negatively impacted the team's morale, potentially contributing to their poor performance in the second half of the match against Chapecoense. Ironically, Neymar was named man of the match for Santos in that game, scoring both of his team's goals.
