NFF releases timetable for elections

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Electoral Committee has announced the schedule for its upcoming executive committee elections. The polls are set for September 27 in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State.

The timetable outlines a series of deadlines and activities leading up to the election. Nomination forms will be available starting August 1, alongside the publication of election guidelines. Candidates must submit their completed forms by August 12.

Following the submission period, the committee will notify candidates of any document irregularities between August 13 and 19. The correction window for these issues will be from August 20 to 27. Candidate screening is scheduled from August 27 to 30.

A provisional list of cleared candidates will be published on August 31. Candidates disqualified during screening can lodge appeals between September 1 and 3. The Electoral Committee will rule on all appeals by September 10. The final list of cleared candidates will be released on September 11 and 12, with the delegates' list to follow on September 13.

Campaigns for cleared candidates will run from September 14 to 24. The election itself will take place on September 27. The committee has also set September 30 as the deadline for submitting election petitions.
