NGF Golf Summit to Feature Ex-Governors, Royal Father in Abuja

The Nigeria Golf Federation (NGF) is preparing to host its second summit for golf stakeholders in Abuja from August 26 to 27. The event, scheduled to take place at the NICON Luxury Hotel, aims to foster discussions on the future of golf in Nigeria, covering developments, investments, and strategic roadmaps.

NGF President Otunba Olusegun Runsewe anticipates a highly successful and glamorous gathering. He highlighted that the summit will draw prominent figures, including former governors Prince Oyinlola Olagunsoye and Sen. Simon Bako Lalong, both known for their passion for golf. The event will also be chaired by Mr. Lawal Garba, Chairman of Trobel Nigeria Limited, with His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Kusenla III of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom, serving as the Royal Father of the Day.

Runsewe expressed confidence in the federation's readiness, stating, "On our part as a federation, we are ready for this big event because it will change the face of golf in Nigeria." He further indicated that the summit would feature insightful discussions and attract captains of industry, golf administrators, stakeholders, and enthusiasts from Nigeria and beyond. The NGF is also seeking partnerships to enhance the event's scale and impact.
