Niagara Falls Honors Haiti's 223rd Flag Day with Special Illumination

The city of Niagara Falls, Canada, honored Haiti's 223rd Flag Day with a vibrant celebration, demonstrating strong bilateral ties. The symbolic flag-raising ceremony at Rosberg Family Park, attended by Mayor Jim Diodati and Haiti's Chargée d'affaires Françoise Suzan, underscored the deep friendship between Canada and Haiti.

This event, which saw the majestic Niagara Falls illuminated in Haiti's national colors of blue and red, was a powerful display of national pride for the Haitian diaspora. Chargée d'affaires Suzan expressed gratitude to Mayor Diodati and the community for their warm reception and participation in this patriotic celebration.

Since 2021, Niagara Falls has officially proclaimed May 18th as 'Haiti Day,' a testament to the enduring relationship.
