Nigeria Commits to Building Self-Reliant Defence Industrial Base, Deepens Defence Partnership with Türkiye

Nigeria is committed to establishing a robust, self-sufficient, and globally competitive defense industrial base. Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd.), stated this commitment, emphasizing the nation's drive towards domestic production in the defense sector.

The country is actively pursuing a deepened defense partnership with Türkiye as a key strategy to realize this objective. This collaboration is expected to facilitate knowledge transfer, technological advancement, and joint production initiatives within Nigeria's defense industry.
