Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner of Police Anthony Placid, unequivocally stated that the Nigeria Police Force has no affiliation with the purported event. He emphasized that the name 'AFRIPOL' rightfully belongs to the African Union Mechanism for Police Cooperation, a legitimate continental policing structure. The unauthorized use of this name, along with official police logos and the Inspector-General's image, is condemned as a deliberate attempt to mislead and exploit public trust.
