Nigeria Reaffirms Commitment to Deepening Strategic Partnership with IMF

Nigeria has reiterated its dedication to deepening its strategic partnership with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The commitment was conveyed by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, during a farewell dinner in Abuja honoring the IMF's outgoing Resident Representative in Nigeria, Dr. Christian Ebeke.

Oyedele paid tribute to Ebeke, describing him as a trusted partner whose professionalism and technical expertise were instrumental in bolstering cooperation between Nigeria and the IMF. Ebeke's tenure coincided with Nigeria's implementation of significant reforms aimed at achieving macroeconomic stability, enhancing public finances, boosting investor confidence, and establishing a foundation for sustainable economic growth.
