Nigeria's APC Candidate Reviews Osun Election Results with Party Leader Tinubu

All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji met with national leader President Bola Tinubu in Abuja following his loss in the Osun governorship election. Oyebamiji, who lost to incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, stated that the APC is currently reviewing the election results and will soon disclose its next course of action.

Oyebamiji emphasized the importance of peace throughout the political process, stating that government is fundamentally about the welfare of the people. He appealed to his supporters in Osun to remain calm. I want to advise the governor that it’s important for him to talk to his people. Violence against our people is not too good, and he needs to talk to them so that each and every one of us can be on the same page.

The APC candidate also raised concerns about ongoing attacks against APC members in Osun post-election. He urged Governor Adeleke to control his supporters, warning that post-election violence could destabilize the state. Oyebamiji reported that several APC members were attacked in his hometown of Ikire on Friday morning, and security agencies have been notified.
