Nigeria's aviation industry leaders are set to convene for the 30th Annual Conference of the League of Airports and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) in Lagos this September. The event, hosted at the Providence Hotel, Ikeja, aims to foster dialogue on critical issues facing the sector.

Under the theme 'Towards a Sustainable Aviation Industry: Balancing Government Revenue Demands with Sector Growth,' the conference will bring together top government officials, aviation regulators, airline operators, and airport managers. Discussions are expected to focus on navigating the delicate balance between government revenue expectations and the need for policies that support sector growth and investment.

Key dignitaries slated to lead the discussions include Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, who will serve as the Special Guest of Honour. Dr. Wale Babalakin, Chairman of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, will chair the event. Dr. Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace Limited, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address, drawing on his extensive industry experience to inform the deliberations.

The conference will also feature the unveiling of the second edition of LAAC’s 'Champions of Aviation' publication, which highlights the achievements of various players in the aviation industry.
