Nigeria's Federal Road Safety Corps redeploys 13 senior officers

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Nigeria has undertaken a significant reshuffling of its senior leadership, redeploying 13 officers, including five Assistant Corps Marshals, to various commands and departments.

This strategic move, approved by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, is intended to bolster the FRSC's operational effectiveness, enhance its institutional capacity, and improve overall service delivery. The exercise aims to bring fresh perspectives into leadership roles and ensure that officers are placed where their specific skills and experience can yield the greatest benefit to the organization.

Among the key appointments, Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) G.O. Omiko moves from Special Duties and External Relations to head the Operations Department. ACM E.F. Akinlade will now serve as ACM Command Administration and Strategy at the national headquarters in Abuja, while ACM J.O. Asaolu takes over as ACM Research. ACM M.B. Ibrahim is redeployed to Special Duties and External Relations, and ACM F.A. Ogidan will serve as Zonal Commanding Officer in Sokoto.

The FRSC stated that this exercise underscores its commitment to professionalism, accountability, and effective leadership. The redeployed officers have been directed to report to their new posts immediately, ensuring a smooth handover. Mohammed charged them to view their new assignments as opportunities to meaningfully contribute to the FRSC's mandate of reducing road traffic crashes and enhancing safety on Nigerian roads.
