Nigeria's Pi-CNG, MOFI, REA Partner Abia State on Clean Mobility Initiatives

Key federal agencies and the Abia State government are deepening their collaboration to advance clean energy, sustainable transportation, and infrastructure development within the state. The Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles (Pi-CNG & EV), Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), and Rural Electrification Agency (REA) have committed to working closely with Abia.

During a working visit to Abia State, MOFI Chief Executive Dr. Armstrong Takang and Pi-CNG & EV Executive Chairman Ismaeel Ahmed met with Abia Governor Dr. Alex Otti. Ahmed highlighted the interconnectedness of energy, agriculture, and transportation, stressing their integrated development is crucial for unlocking sustainable economic growth and enhancing the quality of life for Nigerians. He views transportation not just as a service but as a critical enabler of economic activity.

The Pi-CNG & EV initiative reaffirmed its dedication to supporting Abia State in accelerating the adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a cleaner and more economical transportation fuel. Ahmed stated the initiative will continue to foster a clean mobility ecosystem through strategic partnerships, infrastructure development, and stakeholder engagement.
