Nigeria will overcome security challenges, vows Lagos governor

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has issued a strong declaration that Nigeria will not succumb to the escalating wave of terror and insecurity plaguing the nation. His statement comes amid heightened public concern over the persistent security challenges across the country.

"We are Nigerians. Our will is strong, and our spirit is unbreakable," Sanwo-Olu asserted, urging citizens to unite behind President Bola Tinubu and the armed forces. He emphasized that the forces of evil do not discriminate by political affiliation when carrying out their attacks, highlighting the shared threat faced by all Nigerians.

In a concrete development, operatives of the Nigeria Police Force successfully rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, the 39-year-old sister of former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, along with her 12-year-old twin sons. The rescue operation took place in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
