Nigerian Actors Rally in Prayer for Colleague Battling Stage Four Cancer

A hundred prominent Nigerian actors converged at the BOS Hall in Ikeja, Lagos, for a prayer session supporting their colleague, Taiwo “Ogogo” Hassan, who is undergoing treatment for stage-four cancer. The gathering demonstrated a strong sense of solidarity within the film industry.

Ogogo's daughters, Kira and Haleemah, have publicly sought assistance in exploring further medical options, including traditional treatments. They previously indicated that the hospital where he is currently receiving care had allegedly refused to treat him, prompting their appeal for broader medical support.

Notable personalities from the Yoruba film industry, including Bolaji “Mr Latin” Amusan, Jide Kosoko, Yinka Quadri, and Bukky Wright, were present. Islamic clerics led the prayer session, invoking blessings for Ogogo's recovery and healing.

The prayer session follows an earlier appeal from Ogogo's colleagues, who asked those offering traditional or alternative treatments not to be offended by the family's inability to move him from his current hospital. Despite numerous offers of medical assistance, the actor remains under hospital care, highlighting the need for specialized medical attention.
