Nigerian Air Force Delivers Election Materials for Ekiti Gov Poll, By-Elections

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully airlifted sensitive electoral materials for the upcoming Ekiti State Governorship Election and several senatorial and federal constituency by-elections. The operation, conducted between June 15 and 16, was carried out at the request of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, the NAF's airlift capabilities were leveraged to transport the materials from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja to designated airports in Enugu, Rivers, and Kano states. This ensured the materials reached INEC within the stipulated timeline ahead of the elections.

Leveraging its strategic airlift capabilities, the NAF transported the sensitive electoral materials from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, to designated airports in Enugu, Rivers and Kano States, ensuring that INEC received the materials within the stipulated timeline ahead of the elections.

The operation covered preparations for the Ekiti governorship election, as well as senatorial by-elections in Enugu North (Enugu State), Nasarawa North (Nasarawa State), and Rivers South East (Rivers State). It also supported by-elections for the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency (Kano State) and Zuru/Shanga Federal Constituency (Kebbi State).

Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the Chief of the Air Staff, commended the personnel involved for their professionalism.
