Nigerian Air Force Graduates 111 Special Forces Operators to Boost Combat Readiness

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has bolstered its operational capabilities with the graduation of 111 personnel from Special Forces Course 13/2026. This marks a significant advancement in the NAF's commitment to enhancing combat readiness and supporting ongoing air and joint military operations across Nigeria.

The graduation ceremony, held at the Regiment Training Centre Annex in Bauchi, celebrated the completion of a rigorous training program. The course is designed to mold highly skilled, mission-focused operators prepared to tackle Nigeria's dynamic security landscape effectively.

Air Marshal Kelvin Aneke, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), represented by Air Vice Marshal AY Dari, commended the graduates for their resilience, discipline, and determination. He stressed that the effectiveness of any military hinges on the quality and commitment of its personnel, not just its equipment. "The strength of any fighting force lies not only in its equipment but in the quality, discipline and determination of its personnel," Aneke stated, urging the new special forces operators to serve with honor and remain mission-focused.

The intensive training involved robust physical, mental, and tactical conditioning. It focused on building leadership, teamwork, and adaptability to prepare operators for complex missions in demanding environments, ultimately supporting both air and joint operations. The event also featured tactical demonstrations by the graduates, showcasing their acquired skills in areas like self-defense and air assault operations.
