Nigerian National Bureau Chairman Visits ECOWAS Brown Card Permanent Secretariat

Dr. Lucas Durojaiye, chairman of the Nigerian National Bureau and managing director of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc, paid a three-day working visit to the Permanent Secretariat of the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme in Lomé, Togo.

The visit created a forum for high-level discussions on strengthening the scheme and advancing its role in regional integration. Durojaiye held a courtesy engagement with the secretariat and took part in discussions on the scheme’s operations, development and institutional future.

The agenda included cooperation between institutions, operational effectiveness, relations between national bureaux and the permanent secretariat, digital transformation and claims management. The meetings also focused on maintaining regular consultation as the scheme pursues institutional and digital changes.

The secretariat welcomed the engagement and commended the Nigerian bureau’s cooperation and support. It said it would continue working with all member bureaux to build a stronger, more efficient, transparent and digitally enabled ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme.
