Nigerian politicians’ children who graduated from UK universities in 2026

The year 2026 saw several children of prominent Nigerian political figures achieve significant academic milestones, graduating from universities across the United Kingdom. These personal achievements provided moments of pride for families engaged in public service.

Among those celebrating was Joaquin Wike, son of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and his wife Justice Eberechi Suzette Wike. Joaquin earned a Master’s Degree in Management and Technology Change from King’s College London in January 2026. His graduation was publicly acknowledged by the FCT Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, and attended by family members and political associates.

Fatima Ganduje-Ajimobi, daughter of former All Progressives Congress National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, also graduated from King’s College London in January 2026. Fatima, married to Idris Ajimobi, son of the late former Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi, completed her studies at the institution. Her graduation ceremony was attended by her parents, her mother-in-law Dr. Florence Ajimobi, her husband, and their children.

Additionally, Ariwera Jonathan, son of former President Goodluck Jonathan and former First Lady Patience Jonathan, graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK in 2026. While his specific course of study was not disclosed, his parents celebrated this academic achievement.
