Nine men convicted in Copenhagen for attempted murders involving traveling shooters

A Copenhagen City Court has found nine men guilty of participating in three attempted murders within the context of gang rivalries. The court's decision, delivered after extensive deliberation, detailed the involvement of individuals in plots that utilized traveling shooters to carry out violent acts. The cases are intrinsically linked to the ongoing conflict between the NNV gang and the now-banned Loyal To Family (LTF) group.

The first attempted murder, planned for July 9 and 10, 2024, involved two Swedish men who allegedly traveled to Denmark with the specific intent to kill individuals associated with LTF. The planned attack was to occur near a kiosk on Amager. Four men residing in Denmark – aged 18, 17, 21, and two 22-year-olds – were convicted of aiding this attempt by providing a pistol to the Swedish nationals. Three of these individuals also face charges under the gang paragraph, which can lead to doubled sentences, due to their proven affiliation with NNV.

The court heard that this specific plot was thwarted when the Swedish men were apprehended before any shots were fired. However, the conflict persisted, leading to further attempted murders around July 10 and 13. In these instances, a single Swedish man reportedly traveled to Denmark to target LTF associates near the same Amager kiosk. The 18-year-old with NNV ties and the 17-year-old, previously convicted in the first attempt, were also found guilty in relation to these subsequent plots. A 21-year-old Swedish national was also convicted in connection with these events but was arrested before any shots were fired.

The final attempted murder occurred on December 2, 2024, when a man residing in Germany arrived in Denmark with the intent to kill LTF members. The 18-year-old, previously linked to NNV, was again found guilty of involvement. This attempt also failed, as the German national did not receive the weapon intended for the attack. He subsequently took on a new task in Germany but was arrested while still in Copenhagen.
