NISO: We Do Not Run ‘National Grid’ Social Media Account

The Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) has reiterated its dissociation from an unauthorized social media account on X, identified as "Nigeria National Grid." NISO expressed concern that this account continues to operate and spread misleading information regarding the nation's power grid.

We therefore find it necessary to once again state, clearly and unequivocally, that NISO does not own, manage, control, or operate the social media account on X (formerly Twitter) bearing the name “Nigeria National Grid.

In a clear statement, NISO emphasized that it neither owns, manages, controls, nor operates the social media account. The organization stressed that it has no affiliation with the account and that the individuals or entities behind it are unknown and unauthorized to speak on NISO's behalf.

NISO urged the public, media organizations, and all stakeholders to refrain from quoting, referencing, or relying upon any information, statements, claims, or opinions published on the "Nigeria National Grid" account. The organization clarified that any such content does not represent its official position, operations, or activities.

Therefore, we have no affiliation with this account. The individuals or entities operating it are unknown to the organisation and are in no way authorised to speak on its behalf, represent its views, or act under our name.

NISO reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining transparent, accurate, and responsible communication with all stakeholders and the general public concerning the national power system.
