NNPC Remits N7.9 Trillion to Federation as Monthly Revenue Reaches N3.087 Trillion

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited remitted N7.913 trillion to the federation between January and July 2026, according to its July monthly report. The company recorded N3.087 trillion in revenue during July and posted N279 billion in profit after tax.

Crude oil and condensate production reached 1.68 million barrels per day during the month. Natural gas production stood at 7,489 million standard cubic feet per day, while gas sales reached 4,581 mmscfd.

The report said NNPC’s Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben gas pipeline project had reached 100% completion. The Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano pipeline stood at 95%, while upstream pipeline availability reached 100%. Availability of NNPC retail stations selling petrol was 52% in July.

Production improvement efforts will focus on sustaining high facility uptime through effective preventive maintenance programmes and minimising unplanned downtime.

NNPC said it would focus on preventive maintenance, reducing unplanned downtime and improving operational reliability. It also cited efforts to optimize export operations, develop incremental production opportunities, activate tandem offloading at Akpo and Erha, and restore barging operations at Obodo.

The company said the measures form part of wider efforts to increase Nigeria’s oil and gas production, improve efficiency and raise revenue available to the federation.
