While Belgium does not have specific laws mandating restrictions on horse riding during high temperatures, former politician Herman De Croo noted that the Netherlands has regulations prohibiting it above 27 degrees Celsius. The absence of horses marks a notable departure for the well-established Michelbeke tradition, highlighting the impact of the current weather conditions on cultural events.
