No Pets or Sound Equipment Allowed in Mochima National Park Starting December

Starting in December, pets and sound equipment will be banned from the beaches of Mochima National Park in Venezuela's Sucre state. The National Institute of Parks (Inparques) confirmed the new regulation, which aligns the park with environmental preservation rules already in place at other special administration areas and national parks across the country.

Gloris Muñoz, president of the local Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, stated that an information campaign is underway, but the prohibition on pets and loud sound systems, such as "cornetas" (horns or loudspeakers), will be strictly enforced during the December holiday season. This measure is established within the park's usage regulations.

Inparques authorities and tourism representatives will conduct ongoing informational outreach in the coming months. This strategy specifically targets seasonal visitors from other states, ensuring they are aware of the new rules before the December vacation period begins.

The primary objective of this new rule is to foster a more sustainable and responsible approach to using the natural areas. By restricting pets and loud music, authorities aim to reduce noise pollution and minimize factors that disrupt local wildlife. Additionally, the measures are intended to enhance the tranquility and overall experience for tourists visiting the beaches of Mochima.
