NongHyup Bank secures China patent for 'Smart Work' technology

NongHyup (NH) Bank has successfully obtained a patent in China for its proprietary "Smart Work" technology, marking another significant achievement after securing a U.S. patent for the same innovation.

The technology, developed in-house by NH Bank, allows employees to seamlessly connect to a cloud-based work environment from anywhere using devices like tablets and laptops. A key feature is its ability to provide the same level of functionality as an in-office PC while adhering to the stringent security standards required in the financial sector.

This system is designed to ensure stable remote access for both internal operations and farmer support, even from remote agricultural sites. It enhances user convenience by enabling daily tasks and collaboration within a secure cloud environment.

The "Smart Work" technology has previously been recognized as an excellent example of hybrid work utilizing cloud computing at the "Microsoft Everywhere" event. It has also become a benchmark for domestic and international financial institutions and IT companies.

Choi Han-ho, head of NH Bank's Digital Strategy Department, emphasized the bank's forward-looking approach. "We are entering the era of AX (Artificial Intelligence Transformation), which goes beyond simple digital transformation to innovate work methods with AI," he stated. "We will strive to combine AI technology with a secure digital foundation to promote the development of agriculture and rural areas and increase benefits for farmers."
