Norris follows breakthrough win with Dutch Grand Prix triumph

Lando Norris has followed up his breakthrough win in Hungary with another dominant performance, capturing the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. The reigning Formula 1 world champion, driving for McLaren, replicated his Hungarian success by taking pole position and converting it into a commanding victory on Sunday.

Norris faced an early challenge from championship leader Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes), who briefly took the lead. However, Norris relentlessly pursued and regained the lead with 18 laps remaining, demonstrating superior pace in his car. He ultimately secured the win, extending his strong season.

The race was marked by early drama when home crowd favorite Max Verstappen (Red Bull) crashed out on one of the opening laps. The incident appeared severe, with parts of his car scattering across the track, but Verstappen was able to exit the vehicle unassisted.

Following the restart, Antonelli capitalized to move into the lead from third on the grid. Despite Norris's eventual victory, Antonelli maintained his second-place finish, further solidifying his substantial lead in the World Championship standings. George Russell and Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) finished behind Antonelli, with Norris now moving up to fourth in the standings, 83 points behind Antonelli.
