North Carolina woman missing in Grenada as husband heads to join search

Elizabeth "Liz" Waddell, a woman from North Carolina, has gone missing while visiting the Caribbean island of Grenada. Local authorities confirmed her disappearance and are actively seeking information regarding her whereabouts.

Waddell was last seen on Wednesday, July 22, at Grand Anse Beach. The Royal Grenada Police Force has issued an appeal, specifically requesting assistance from fishermen, boat operators, and residents along the southern coastline to report any sightings or relevant information that could aid in locating her.

Her husband, Cailen Waddell, is en route to Grenada to join the search efforts. He shared a photo of his wife on social media, pleading for her safe return and asking friends to send positive thoughts and prayers. He also provided an additional photo showing his wife with blonde hair.

The U.S. State Department has acknowledged reports of a missing American in Grenada and has referred inquiries to the local law enforcement agencies handling the case.
