North Korea has tested a new light tactical missile system and a tactical cruise missile weapon system, according to state media. Leader Kim Jong Un reportedly observed the launches, stressing the importance of developing overwhelming destructive power. State media released images showing the simultaneous launch of a short-range tactical ballistic missile, identified as Hwasong-11la, and 240mm rocket artillery shells from a wheeled launcher. This display highlights North Korea's capability to launch both ballistic missiles and artillery from a single platform. Analysts suggest this development is akin to the South Korean "Cheonmoo" multiple rocket launcher or the US HIMARS, designed for precision strikes and rapid reloading.
