North Macedonia Police Charge Three Over Assault and Filming of Teen Girl

Police in Kumanovo, North Macedonia, have pressed charges against three individuals, including an 18-year-old and two minors, for allegedly assaulting and filming a 14-year-old girl. The Ministry of Interior of North Macedonia announced that the suspects face charges of "violence."

There are grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of 'violence'.

The incident reportedly occurred on March 13, when the suspects, identified as P.A. (18) from the village of Lojane and two minors aged 14 and 15 from Kumanovo, convinced the 14-year-old girl to leave her home. They then led her to a room near the "Sokolana" sports center.

There they first insulted her, and then physically attacked her, recording the entire event with a mobile phone.

According to the police report, the suspects first verbally abused the victim before physically assaulting her. The entire assault was allegedly recorded on a mobile phone. Following the attack, the suspects threatened the girl, warning her not to report the incident or reveal the existence of the video, implying that she would face worse consequences if she did.

After the violence, the suspects threatened the minor not to report the event and not to talk about the recorded video, threatening that otherwise something worse would happen to her.
