Northampton Saints defeat Leicester Tigers in derby classic to reach Premiership final

Northampton Saints secured a spot in the Premiership final after overcoming Leicester Tigers 45-31 in a dramatic East Midlands derby. Captain George Furbank was instrumental in the victory, scoring two tries in his final home game for the club.

The match was a high-scoring affair, with early tries from Tom Litchfield for Northampton and Hanro Liebenberg and Freddie Steward for Leicester setting a frantic pace. Northampton's Tommy Freeman and Leicester's Ollie Hassell-Collins traded spectacular tries before Litchfield completed his hat-trick, giving Saints a 26-19 lead at halftime.

Furbank extended Northampton's lead early in the second half.
