Norway's national team goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland moves to one of Norway's top clubs

Norwegian goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland has returned to RB Leipzig, signing a contract with the Bundesliga club that will keep him there until 2028. The 35-year-old joins as a free agent after his contract with Sevilla expired at the end of June.

Nyland is no stranger to Leipzig, having previously played for the club on loan during the 2022/23 season. His return is marked by his recent status as a national hero for Norway, following their historic run to the World Cup quarter-finals. He became a key figure in their dramatic 2-1 victory over Brazil in the round of 16 by saving a penalty from Bruno Guimarães.
