Norwegian Teen Convicted in UK for Iran-Linked Murder Plot

A London court has convicted a 19-year-old Norwegian national for his role in an international murder plot. Johannes Kongsnes Natland, from Stavanger, was found guilty of traveling to England to carry out a contract killing orchestrated by a gang with alleged ties to Iran.

Natland agreed in March of the previous year to commit the assassination for a sum of 25,000 euros. The target of the planned murder remains unidentified in court documents. His plan was cut short when armed police apprehended him just two days after his arrival in the United Kingdom.

Authorities arrested Natland in a hotel room in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. A search of his belongings uncovered two firearms and ammunition, indicating the seriousness of the plot. The conviction highlights the reach of international criminal organizations and their ability to recruit individuals for violent acts across borders.
