Novak Djokovic to play first match at US Open on Sunday

The final Grand Slam tournament of the year, the US Open, is set to commence on Sunday in New York. Organizers have released the schedule for the initial round of matches, detailing which players will take to the court on each day of the opening stages.

Tennis superstar Novak Djokovic, widely regarded as the most successful player in the sport's history, is slated to begin his campaign on Sunday, August 30th. His first opponent will be Mariano Navone, an Argentine player currently ranked 44th in the world, known for his clay-court prowess.

Djokovic's participation marks another significant appearance at a major tournament as he continues to add to his record-breaking career achievements. The match against Navone is expected to be a test, despite the latter's specialization on clay, as Djokovic aims to start his US Open run strongly.
