Nuestra Señora del Monte Carmelo Parish Holds Pastoral Assembly

The Nuestra Señora del Monte Carmelo parish in Venezuela's Lara state concluded its patronal festivities with a successful pastoral assembly. The event, held in the Torres municipality, brought together coordinators from 24 villages and members of parish groups.

Father Yhonny García, the parish priest, presided over the assembly, calling for unity, fraternal listening, and community discernment. He described the assembly as an opportunity to "discern together the signs of the times in our parish, listen to each other, and seek in the Holy Spirit the path to lead our community towards a safe destination."

The parish leadership reviewed the past year and outlined upcoming spiritual events aimed at strengthening faith. These include the fifth Retiro de Emaús for the parish, scheduled for late October, and the sponsorship of the first Retiro de Emaús in Burere, within the Las Mercedes parish, planned for early November. Father García highlighted that these retreats provide a valuable space for the faithful to experience a profound encounter with their faith and undergo spiritual renewal.
