Nuevo León Governor Secures European Investments, Announces Job Growth

Nuevo León's Governor Samuel García has successfully attracted significant European investments during his recent tour, aiming to position the state as a premier international investment hub in Latin America. The initiative has already secured commitments from companies across Sweden, the Netherlands, and Spain, promising substantial job creation and industrial expansion.

Key players like Atlas Copco, a leader in industrial solutions, are expanding their operations in Nuevo León, focusing on advanced manufacturing, automotive, infrastructure, and technology. This expansion is expected to bolster the development of Mexican suppliers for Atlas Copco's U.S. operations, reinforcing the state's status as a high-tech industrial center.

Further bolstering the state's economic prospects, automotive giants Scania and Volvo are set to expand their presence. Scania Mexico will open a new, larger branch creating over 50 direct jobs, while Volvo will launch its largest global factory in Nuevo León, a facility spanning over 200,000 square meters expected to generate between 2,000 to 2,500 direct jobs and thousands more indirectly through international supplier attraction.

Additionally, technology firm Ericsson has expressed interest in developing 5G technology, automation, and manufacturing projects within the state. Governor García highlighted these developments, emphasizing his commitment to attracting world-class companies that offer well-paying jobs and contribute to Nuevo León's sustained industrial growth.
