NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang to throw first pitch at Doosan Bears game

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang is set to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Doosan Bears home game on July 7 at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul. Doosan Group announced the news on July 4, adding that Doosan Group Chairman Park Jeong-won will take the ceremonial first hit.

Huang will don a Doosan Bears uniform bearing the number 93, a nod to NVIDIA's founding year, while Chairman Park will wear a uniform with the number 96, representing Doosan Group's founding year. The appearance comes amid speculation about potential investments by Huang in South Korea's robotics industry, with Doosan Group seen as a likely collaborator.

Huang arrived in South Korea on the evening of July 4, following his schedule at the Computex 2024 exhibition in Taipei. His official engagements begin on July 5. He is slated to have a dinner meeting with leaders of major South Korean conglomerates, including SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Euisun, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin. Huang is also scheduled to appear on the popular variety show "You Quiz on the Block" and hold meetings with domestic gaming, robotics, and artificial intelligence companies.
