Object Elevator Falls on Electrical Line in Turkey; 2 Workers Die

Two workers lost their lives in an accident involving an object-carrying elevator in Antalya, Turkey. The incident occurred on Alasini Street in the Ulupınar neighborhood when the elevator, set up by workers for carrying items to a house, fell onto a power line. The workers, identified as İbrahim Güneş, 51, and İsmail Aktaş, were electrocuted by the line.

Emergency health teams responded to the scene and provided initial medical assistance to the injured workers. Both were subsequently transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment. İbrahim Güneş was taken to Kemer State Hospital, while İsmail Aktaş was rushed to Kumluca State Hospital. Tragically, both men succumbed to their injuries and could not be saved.

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident to determine the cause and prevent future occurrences. The incident highlights the dangers faced by workers in construction and related fields, particularly concerning electrical hazards.
