A father in Sreepur, Gazipur, allegedly threatened to kill his 14-year-old son by holding a knife to his throat. He recorded a video of the incident and sent it to his wife, demanding money for drugs. The accused, Moksed Ali, 40, is a suspected drug addict.

The boy's mother, Yasmin Akter, filed a complaint with Sreepur Police Station. According to her, Moksed has long been addicted to drugs and frequently abused her for money to buy narcotics. He allegedly lured their son from a madrasa to a secluded spot for the recording.

The widely circulated video shows the child appearing unconscious, with a white cloth around his head. Moksed is seen threatening the boy while holding a knife to his throat and chest, and directing threats at his wife.

Following the complaint, police launched an operation, rescued the child, and took him to the hospital for treatment. Officer-in-Charge Shahinur Alam stated that legal proceedings are underway and the accused will be brought to justice. Yasmin expressed the family's long-standing suffering due to her husband's addiction and violence.
