The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a forecast predicting widespread rainfall across the country within the next 24 hours. Many areas are expected to receive light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions.

Specifically, the BMD bulletin indicates that Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions will experience rainfall in numerous locations. Additionally, a few places within the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions are also likely to see showers. The forecast also warns of the possibility of moderately heavy to heavy rainfall occurring in various parts of the country.

Alongside the anticipated precipitation, the weather department anticipates a slight increase in both day and night temperatures nationwide. The current weather patterns are influenced by the monsoon trough, which stretches across a significant portion of the region, indicating that the monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderately active over the north Bay of Bengal.
