Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has issued directives for a comprehensive and coordinated response to widespread flooding across the country. He personally engaged with district officials, including deputy commissioners, police superintendents, and civil surgeons, to assess the situation and ensure effective rescue, relief, and medical assistance.

State Minister for Power and Energy Aninda Islam Amit has been tasked with coordinating the overall efforts in the flood-hit districts. Amit is set to visit Chattogram to oversee the measures being taken, accompanied by the State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief and other relevant officials. The Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary, Atikur Rahman Rumon, stated that floodwaters have begun to recede in some areas.

Rahman emphasized the need to pay special attention to women and children, particularly pregnant women, in the affected regions. He also urged law enforcement agencies to maintain a high alert to deter criminal groups from exploiting the disaster for theft and other offenses. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of ensuring adequate supplies of food, safe drinking water, and medical care for all affected individuals.
