Two fatal road accidents in Bangladesh on Thursday claimed the lives of four people and left at least 14 others injured.

The first incident occurred early Thursday near the Nalka overpass on the Jamuna Bridge highway in Sirajganj. A speeding truck collided with a Chattogram-bound bus traveling from Dinajpur. Two individuals, including Md Monsur Ali, 26, died at the scene. Approximately ten other passengers sustained injuries and were transported to Sirajganj General Hospital. Police have seized both vehicles involved.

In a separate incident in Natore, a bus traveling on the Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway collided head-on with a tractor carrying cattle. The crash, which happened in Gurudaspur upazila, resulted in the deaths of two cattle traders, identified as Md Abdur Rahman, 70, and Md Akkas Ali, 63. Four others were injured and taken to Gurudaspur Upazila Health Complex.

Traffic flow on the highways returned to normal after authorities removed the damaged vehicles. Police are investigating both accidents. The report does not specify the cause of the collisions but notes that the bus in the second accident was hit by a speeding tractor.
