Oborevwori Inaugurates Three Roads Spanning 18km in Ndokwa West

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori commissioned three newly completed road projects spanning approximately 18 kilometers in Ndokwa West Local Government Area on Wednesday. He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to infrastructure development across the state, highlighting the roads' importance for boosting trade, commerce, and rural development.

The inaugurated projects include the 4.5-kilometer Obi-Ibabu/Ibabu Road in Onicha-Ukwuani, the first phase of the 5-kilometer Utagba-Uno/Ndemili Road, and the 8.4-kilometer Etua-Ukpo/Etua-Etiti/Etua-Oliogo Road. Governor Oborevwori described these as vital infrastructure that would enhance connectivity, reduce transportation costs, improve market access, attract investment, and stimulate socio-economic activities.

During the inauguration ceremony at Utagba-Uno, Oborevwori thanked the host communities for their warm reception. He noted that the Utagba-Uno/Ndemili Road project is being executed in phases, with the first phase connecting Umutu town to neighboring communities. He reiterated that these projects demonstrate the administration's dedication to ensuring all local government areas benefit from the state's infrastructure agenda.

However, the governor voiced displeasure over the delayed completion of the Inam-Abbi Access Road and Utagba-Uno-Eweshi Road projects, which were initially slated for inauguration. He issued a stern warning against unnecessary delays in project execution and directed the Ministry of Works to ensure their completion by year-end. Oborevwori also mentioned ongoing progress on several other road projects in Ndokwa Nation, including the Emu-Ebendo-Iyasele-Ashaka Road and an access road to the Kwale Industrial Park.
