Oborevwori reaffirms inclusive governance, promises more development for Delta communities

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has reiterated his administration's dedication to equitable development, assuring that all parts of the state will benefit from ongoing infrastructural projects. Speaking in Asaba while receiving a delegation from the Ndokwa Neku Union, a socio-cultural organization representing the Ndokwa nation, Oborevwori pledged sustained development across Ndokwa land and affirmed that their interests are fully represented.

I assure you that your interests are fully represented and promise continued infrastructural development across Ndokwa land.

The governor emphasized his commitment to inclusive governance, stating that development initiatives will continue to span all ethnic groups without bias. He highlighted his administration's focus on tangible project delivery rather than political distractions, asserting that projects are visibly spread across Delta State, benefiting Isoko, Ijaw, Urhobo, Anioma, and other regions.

The Ndokwa Neku Union, in turn, passed a vote of confidence in Governor Oborevwori, commending his inclusive and development-oriented leadership. The Union's President-General, Chief Amaechi Asugwuni, expressed appreciation for the governor's interventions in Ndokwa communities and the wider state, specifically mentioning the completion of Ndokwa House and improvements to the Asaba-Kwale-Ughelli Road. However, Asugwuni also raised concerns about electricity supply challenges in the area and appealed for improved intervention around the Okpai Independent Power Plant, while condemning vandalism of public infrastructure.
