Off-duty firefighter joins brother's station to save collapsed man in Taiwan

A man in his 40s collapsed and lost consciousness in Taoyuan City on July 23. Passersby immediately called for help. Firefighters from the Dayou Fire Station responded, and were joined by an off-duty firefighter from Taoyuan International Airport Fire Station. The off-duty firefighter, who is the brother of a Dayou station firefighter, immediately offered his assistance. Together, the rescue team performed high-quality CPR and used an automated external defibrillator twice. Their efforts successfully revived the man, who was then taken to the hospital for treatment and his life was saved. Dayou Station Chief Hong Zhengyan praised the off-duty firefighter's professionalism and sense of duty, noting that he stepped in to help while on leave.
