The family of the late Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo, has issued a strong denial regarding circulating reports and a video that falsely claimed his daughter, Shakirat (Kira) Taiwo, had recently given birth. The family is currently in a period of mourning following the actor's death and burial.

In a statement posted on her Instagram page, Haleemah (Lima) Taiwo, another daughter of the late actor, clarified the situation. She urged the public to disregard the information, stating, “Please disregard the information currently circulating that my sister has given birth. This is not true.” The family has been receiving numerous calls and messages about the alleged birth, prompting their public clarification.

The viral claims, accompanied by a short video, suggested the newborn was a "Carbon Copy" of the late actor and that the birth occurred just days after his burial. Ogogo, a veteran of Yoruba cinema, passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after a battle with stage-four cancer. He was laid to rest according to Islamic rites in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State, on August 24, 2026.
