Ogun Governor Praises Police Chief for Deploying Aircraft to Boost State Security

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has lauded Inspector General of Police Tunji Disu for the swift deployment of an operational police aircraft to aid ongoing security efforts in the state. The governor had requested the aircraft to strengthen the state's security architecture and intensify the fight against criminality and banditry.

Receiving the aircraft and its crew, the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, conveyed the governor's gratitude for the prompt response and commitment to protecting lives and property. Talabi highlighted that the aircraft's presence will significantly improve aerial surveillance, intelligence gathering, and the rapid response capabilities of security agencies. This, he stated, will complement existing efforts to clear Ogun State of criminal elements.

The operational aircraft is expected to bolster "Operation Kosaye," a joint security initiative targeting kidnappers, bandits, and other criminals in forests, border communities, and identified flashpoints across the state.

Governor Abiodun reiterated his administration's dedication to supporting security agencies in their duties. He emphasized that Ogun State will continue to invest in initiatives that ensure peace, security, and sustainable economic development.
