Ogun LG Boss Receives Public Service Award for Grassroots Development

Dr. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo, the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, has been honored with the Distinguished Public Service Award in Grassroots Development. The Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) in the Presidency conferred the award in recognition of his significant leadership and contributions to community development.

The award is a component of the 2026 United Nations Public Service Day, an international platform dedicated to acknowledging excellence and innovation within public service. Dr. Oyegbola-Sodipo's selection was the result of a rigorous merit-based assessment, which included stakeholder nominations and an independent review of his performance indicators.
