Ogun State on High Alert, Deploys Technology to Tackle Insecurity Threats

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has declared a high alert against rising insecurity, unveiling plans to integrate technology into the state's security architecture. The governor emphasized proactive measures to prevent criminal elements from gaining a foothold in the state, stating, "We are rising to the occasion of insecurity by deploying technology to safeguard the lives of our people. We will not wait for anyone to come and attack us."

The administration is prioritizing the security of schools and educational institutions, implementing intensified surveillance, deploying personnel to strategic locations, and enhancing inter-agency collaboration. These measures aim to prevent criminal activities and ensure schools remain safe learning environments. Governor Abiodun stressed that children's protection is paramount.

Abiodun reaffirmed his administration's commitment to protecting lives and property through strategic investments in security infrastructure, collaboration with security agencies, and community engagement. He aims to maintain Ogun State as a secure, peaceful, and investment-friendly destination. Beyond security, the governor also highlighted a renewed focus on human capital development and social intervention programs to alleviate economic hardship.

In other remarks, Governor Abiodun commended members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State for conducting peaceful primary elections. He described the process as inclusive, transparent, and fair, acknowledging those who stepped down for consensus candidates as "unsung heroes."
