Ohtani drives in winning run, Yamamoto dominates as Dodgers beat Mets

Shohei Ohtani delivered a clutch performance with two hits, including the go-ahead RBI, to propel the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 4-2 victory over the New York Mets. The Dodgers secured their third consecutive win, maintaining their dominant position in Major League Baseball with a 66-38 record. Ohtani's offensive contributions were pivotal. He singled in his first at-bat against left-hander Sean Manaea, later hit a double in the fifth inning, and ultimately drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh. Over four at-bats, Ohtani recorded two hits, one RBI, and one strikeout, improving his batting average to .286 and his OPS to .919. Kyle Tucker added a two-run homer in the eighth inning to extend their advantage. The Mets managed to score one run in the bottom of the eighth, but the Dodgers' bullpen held firm to secure the win.
