Ohtani's Next Start Set for June 25; Dodgers Fireballer Stewart Nearing Return

Shohei Ohtani will take the mound again on June 25th, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced Friday. The news comes just after Ohtani welcomed his second child with his wife, Mamiko. Ohtani returned to the starting lineup on Friday, the day after his start against the Tampa Bay Rays where he pitched six innings, allowing four runs and earning his seventh win of the season.

Roberts expressed his happiness for Ohtani's growing family, stating, "I think the baby and mom are healthy. I haven't seen him yet, but I'm glad he's back. I look forward to talking to him." The manager also joked about needing to get the star player a gift.

In addition to Ohtani's pitching return, the Dodgers are also set to activate 34-year-old relief pitcher Brock Stewart from the injured list on June 23rd. Stewart, who previously played for the Minnesota Twins before rejoining the Dodgers, has had a limited season due to injuries, pitching only two innings this year after a brief stint last season. He is expected to be available for the upcoming series against his former team.
