Olise scores, assists as Bayern beat Dortmund 2-1 in Super Cup

Michael Olise was the standout performer, contributing a goal and an assist as Bayern Munich defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-1 to win the German Super Cup. The France international consistently threatened Dortmund's defense from the right flank throughout the match.

Bayern took the lead in the 28th minute when Nathaniel Brown calmly finished after Olise was fouled near the penalty area. Olise then doubled Bayern's advantage just before halftime, capitalizing on a defensive error to score past the advancing goalkeeper.

Borussia Dortmund improved significantly in the second half, applying sustained pressure on Bayern. However, Vincent Kompany's side defended resolutely to maintain their lead. Dortmund eventually pulled a goal back with 15 minutes remaining through former Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fabio Silva, who converted a cross from Daniel Svensson.

Dortmund's hopes of forcing an equalizer were diminished when Ramy Bensebaini received a straight red card in the final minute for a late challenge. Despite playing with 10 men, they had a late chance in stoppage time, but Maximilian Beier failed to beat Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer in a one-on-one situation.

This victory marks Bayern's 12th German Super Cup title and their second consecutive win since the competition was renamed in honor of Franz Beckenbauer. The win provides Bayern with a positive start to the new season, although they were made to work hard by a Dortmund side featuring a revamped squad.
