Olympic Safi Loses Youssef El Motie

Olympic Safi goalkeeper Youssef El Motie has initiated legal proceedings to dissolve his contract with the club, citing non-payment of his financial dues. El Motie has exhausted the procedures outlined in the Royal Moroccan Football Federation's regulations, leading him to seek contract termination.

According to sources close to the matter, the 15-day legal deadline granted to Olympic Safi to settle El Motie's outstanding payments has expired without resolution. This inaction has compelled the player to advance to the next stage of the legal process.

The goalkeeper's case has now been formally submitted to the dispute committee of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. This committee will handle the proceedings for terminating El Motie's contract, following the club's failure to respond to the player's legally issued notice within the required timeframe.

El Motie joined Olympic Safi during the last winter transfer window, signing a contract for one and a half seasons. He arrived from Wydad AC, with the club hoping his experience would strengthen their goalkeeping position. However, the current dispute over unpaid wages has overshadowed his tenure.
